I love when I have the opportunity to explore restaurants outside of Philadelphia. A change of scenery gives you a reason to visit again if you enjoyed the menu. Thats exactly what happened when I was invited to Atlantic City, New Jersey to enjoy a juicy dinner at Phillips Seafood. Now promoting their new Surf & Turf Dinner for $19.99 sound like a super treat to me and I couldn’t wait to indulge in all they had to offer.
Now there is no Phillips Seafood in Philly so the closest location is the Atlantic City which gives you a reason to turn your entire day or night into a great adventure. Phillips Seafood sits on the boardwalk inside of Playground Pier AC and it has an abundance of space and ample windows for you to view the ocean With a menu full of scrumptious sea items from crab cakes, to yummy shrimp there was plenty to consume and enjoy.
Since I was invited to try the new Surf & Turf Promotion which included a super juicy 6oz filet mignon and flavorful 6oz broiled lobster, I couldn’t wait to sit down and get my grub on. The dinner comes with the 2 items and is paired with nicely prepared asaparagus. Please note you do have the option to add on a side of mashed potatoes or any tasty side order for an extra charge. I wanted to focus strictly on the main item so I ditched the side order and just stuck with my entree.
The portion of the lobster and the steak was perfect, it didn’t leave me super full or extra hungry, it was the perfect amount of meat to seafood ratio. I enjoy my meat cooked medium and that was great. The meat was so tender the knife sliced right through and was seasoned very well. I stress to you to allow the waiter to pour butter all over your meat and lobster it takes the food to a whole new level.
If you are in the Atlantic City, NJ visiting or have a taste for a awesome meal please head over to Phillips Seafood and enjoy this great promotion. As I mentioned in the beginning of my post this Surf & Turf meal is only $19.99 which is awesome on the pockets if you are on vacation and want to have a nice dining experience on a budget.
The staff are way to awesome and they add a special perk to your entire experience. Its nothing like a great meal accompanied by awesome service. Super attentive and very friendly. Chef Juan and his entire kitchen staff will make sure your food is cooked to perfection and nothing less.
Also they have an amazing happy hour with delicious cocktails and bar bites. So in case you want to skip dinner be sure to grab some yummy treats from the bar.
