The ShopRite at Walt Whitman Plaza is not your average grocery store!
This was such a fun post to write up. Mainly because I was truly blown away by all the foodie gems that I found at this event. I had the pleasure of attending a private event hosted by ShopRite at The Walt Whitman Plaza, and I must say if you are sleeping on your neighborhood supermarket you need to wake up right now. ShopRite at The Walt Whitman Plaza blew my socks off and fed me good.
The event was to bring awareness to their new location and celebrate all the new delicious things they were whipping up in the kitchen at this particular location. This family owned and operated store has some amazing things up its sleeve and I was so excited to have been invited to feast on the yummy items they had prepared.
This ShopRite comes with all the bells and whistles. Featuring an amazing Wine & Beer Garden, that has an array of wine selections for the wine fanatic like me. Amazing variety of different vineyards and really cool bottles that actually are eco-friendly .
My favorite was definitely the hot kitchen and the sampling of BBQ from the Pit masters. Like seriously if your Supermarket doesn’t have a Smoker to put those ribs in I don’t trust it. LOL. The ShopRite at Walt Whitman Plaza pulls out all the stops with this one. The meat is smoked for hours in their very own In House Smoker and best of all they are located in the heart of South Philly next to the ballpark where you can enjoy fresh fall of the bone ribs during game time.
With a smorgasboard of cakes, and cookies I couldn’t have been happier to enjoy the treats that awaited us at this event.
The bonus part of the event was those delicious Philly Cheesesteaks., being that we do live in the city of cheesesteaks it was only right that they prepared these amazing sandwiches and it was the BEST CHEESESTEAK I have ever had. I didn’t even add condiments.
This ShopRite is truly a gem and a one stop shop for your everyday cooking and dining. If you are looking to host an event I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with this ShopRite array of unlimited selections.
