Hey Everybody! Hope your weekend was as amazing as mine. Last night I had the opportunity to visit a super cute and cozy restaurant by the name of Southern Belle. Located in Jenkintown PA, Southern Belle is a new restaurant owned and operated by Chef Tim Thomas and specializes in small southern style cuisines.
I was so excited that he invited me to come and try out his new recipes before releasing to everyone else. Feeling like such a lucky girl of course I took him up on his offer, and boy was I happy that I did. I decided to let my mother tag along with me and we had a delicious time. Not only was the restaurant in the cutest little area of Jenkintown PA, it sits right on the corner illuminated with lights and literally stands out for you to see.
It truly reminded me of a little southern restaurant you would find down in Savannah,Georgia or any other southern hometown. Inside the BYOB restaurant was a very homey feel, so warm and inviting and very intimate. Working alongside him was his family, which gave the presence of a family owned and operated business which I truly enjoyed.
Now let’s get down to this menu… Featuring items from Brussel Sprouts, Blackened Shrimp & Grits & Short Rib Pot Roast, I just knew I would be in for a treat. The items on the menu were all small plates, meaning they would be meant to be shared which also makes for a cool dining experience.
