Hey Everyone!! Last night I had the most delicious dining experience at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. To be honest I had only been to Carrabba’s one time when I use to live in Maryland and ever since I relocated to Philadelphia I hadn’t had a chance to visit again. Well let me tell you I am so happy I had a chance to visit last night and check out there one night only Food + Wine Event.
The World’s Largest Wine Dinner presented by Carrabba’s featured 28,000 made from scratch dishes, 4,000 bottles of wine uncorked and 7,000 guest. This one night only food and wine pairing also featured a fantastic 4 course meal from appetizer to dessert .
I had the pleasure of dining at the Carrabba’s in Bensalem, PA and the ambiance and staff along made me feel like I was dining with family. I can truly say that along with the yummy entrees and savory wine I indulged in various great conversations with other patrons. We played games, we took pictures and even participated in a raffle drawing for some amazing take home baskets and gifts from wine to Carrabba’s recipe book.
This event was a great way to brush up on your wine knowledge and become just a little bit more informative about different wine pairings. I enjoy expanding my palette and last night was a great way to experience the moment. I’m a big white wine drinker but I must admit that I enjoyed eating my dessert and washing it down with the Ravenswood Zinfadel, California.
I would hate to name my favorite two dishes because every entree was truly mind blowing and full of flavor, but if I must pick two it was definitely my first course the Insalata Fiorucci and the second course Calabrian Cavatappi… OMG so flavorful and colorful and distinctive in taste.
Please make sure you check out this monthly one night event at your local Carrabba’s Italian Grill. For $40 per person you can come and indulge in an amazing 4 course meal along with wine and some great company.
If you happen to live in Philadelphia I encourage you to visit the Bensalem location, Mary McGrath and her staff will treat you like family.
