Delicious Dishes: Exploring the Breakfast Menu at Toast Cafe in West Philadelphia

Jae Rich

What better way to start the new year than by finally trying out a restaurant thats been on your list since last year? As the saying goes "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today", and that's exactly what I did. When a fellow foodie girlfriend suggested meeting for breakfast at Toast Cafe in West Philadelphia, I jumped at the chance. For months, I have been salivating over their Instagram profile, filled with mouth -watering pictures of oxtail and grits and savory french toast options.

The cafe is nestled on the corner of S. 52nd street and adorned by amazing welcome decor and a historical mural on the side wall. This comfy foodie haven is owned by female restauranteur Jae Roche and she's dishing out goodness one full plate at a time.

Nothing brings me more joy than supporting a fellow woman -owned businesses and enjoying their offerings.

Toast Cafe is perfect for a breakfast, weekend brunch or a mid week lunch date, with a full menu of sweet and savory options that are creative and full of infused flavors. I love a space that's inviting a warm and the playlist matched the vibe perfectly.

What caught my attention immediately was the extensive menu, offering plenty of options and giving me the opportunity to re visit and try even more.

*Tip: Our server informed us that to get a seat, you should try to be there by 11am.

I almost forgot to mention that this cozy cafe is BYOB so make sure to bring a bottle of fizz for the ultimate breakfast fun.
