Philly native and Philanthropist Mont Brown teamed up with Philly rapper Freeway for an amazing cause for the city, a Sneaker & Boot Drive For The Homeless. With the weather getting more frigid by the day it was an awesome and grand gesture to have two hometown heroes give back to the city and involve the community in the efforts to help provide to the less fortunate.
Taking place at Francis J. Myers Recreational Center, the event not only gathered close to 1,000 pairs of footwear but also bought out some of the city’s top entrepreneurs, community leaders, advocates, and city officials. It was an awesome gesture of community outreach and camaraderie.
Along with the appearance of rapper Freeway there was a outstanding appearance from some of NBA Sacramento King players who spoke to the kids as well as posed for pictures and more.
